The MAGNOFLEX® magnetic field therapy penetrates percutaneously (through the skin); it does not require any electric current to achieve its effect.

The special type of magnetization, heteropolar, penetrates to a depth of several centimetres and ensures that the desired effect can be achieved deep within the tissue.

The effect being sought here is a higher saturation of oxygen in the cells coming into contact with the magnetic field. Every cell lives from oxygen and cannot produce the energy required to function properly without it. An increase in oxygen therefore results in better energy supply to the cells and a greater flow of blood through the tissue. Heat is produced at the same time.

The action of the MAGNOFLEX® magnetic field therapy is based on these effects; all of the further reactions, such as activation of the metabolism, stimulus of the blood flow and supply of oxygen to the cells and tissues to accelerate regeneration, strengthening of the body’s own defences and healing process regulation, relief from painful cramps, accelerated degradation of pathological fluid accumulations and swelling, faster regeneration of the skin and harmonization of the nerve systems and the psyche are all consequences of the oxygen effect and the localized rise in temperature.

Since the body absorbs only the energy of the magnetic field which it requires for the restoration of its natural balance, anyone – without fear of side affects – can treat himself.

Magnetization
Classic magnetic field therapy makes use of permanent magnets which do not require current to achieve their effect.

In contrast to the oldest form of magnets, the single-pole surface magnets, in which each side consists of a single pole, MAGNOFLEX® makes use of heteropolar magnetization. The north and south poles are lined up in alternation on the so-called magnetic foils.

These magnetic foils have been incorporated into patented bandages. So the magnetic foils, in varying strengths and shapes, are always placed at the right spot for the therapy.

Side effects ... none
The World Health Organization has declared static magnetic fields to be completely harmless.

The magnetic field therapy can also be used on children without any risks. There may be a so-called “initial worsening” of the symptoms in people who are particularly sensitive or in cases of existing inflammatory processes, but this is not a side effect; it is a sign that the therapy is beginning to work and occurs with other natural healing procedures as well. We recommend a “creeping” commencement of the magnetic field therapy, i.e., starting with a daily application which is short or lasts only a few hours, then gradually increasing the time of application.

Time of Application
Since the human body absorbs only the magnetic energy which it requires to restore the body’s own energy balance, the MAGNOFLEX® magnetic field therapy can be applied without reservations. Every user can decide for himself how long to use the therapy or to respond to it. The MAGNOFLEX® magnetic field therapy should be continued even after the symptoms have disappeared so that the body’s energy remains in balance.

Contraindications
There are virtually no ailments for which the magnetic field therapy cannot be used as a basic or supplementary treatment.

Magnetic field therapy is not indicated:
- for any diseases which can be treated only by surgical procedures
- for persons wearing pacemakers and electronic implants
- during pregnancy

Artificial prostheses, metal implants in the joints or artificial heart valves, on the other hand, do not represent contraindications; the MAGNOFLEX® magnetic field therapy can be used without reservation in such cases.
